It was tough to think of a concept for an age group of 9-12 year olds. At the age of 21 it has been some time since I’ve been there. I tried to weigh in how technology has increased in the past few years. With the world being in the environment that it is, I tried to make something fun but safe. I started with my diagram to pick the route that is product should follow. I ended up with the right side of the diagram. Something that is technology minded, but requires motor skills and thought. I made some thumbnails and actually went with my first decision. I then made a flow chart to figure out what exactly the finite issues would be. I settled with remote-controlled paper airplane. You can fly it to your friends house with an app, to send messages to each other. It is a way to communicate with friends that isn’t as mindless as texting. I took inspiration from the “Calvin and Hobbes” comic series. They are adventurous and fun. The strips are super simple and easy to follow. A lot of them are black and white.
